For Temptations to Sin
May 31, 2026 • Pastor Tung Le, Pastor Reese Carlson
In Matthew 18:5-14, Jesus teaches His disciples about sin, showing how God feels about both sin and sinners. He warns against being a stumbling block—pulling others into sin—then uses extreme images (cut off your hand, tear out your eye) to show how seriously we must fight sin in our own lives. But through the parable of the lost sheep, He reveals that God pursues those who fall into sin with love. Sin is serious—it separates us from God—yet our God is a Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one who wandered.
