| The Lord Jesus Christ, existing
eternally as the second person of
the Trinity
was conceived by the
Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary and that in His person true and
proper deity was united with perfect and sinless humanity. |
| In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He
was with God in the beginning. John 1:1-2(NIV) |
| The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We
have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came
from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14(NIV) |
| This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother
Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they
came together, she was found to be with child through the
Holy Spirit. Mathew 1:18(NIV) |
| All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said
through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will
give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which
means, "God with us." Matthew 1:22-23(NIV) |
| The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and
the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy
one to be born will be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35(NIV) |
| The Lord Jesus Christ
accomplished our redemption through the shedding of His blood,
His death on the cross as a propitiatory and substitutionary
sacrifice, and that by His literal, physical resurrection from
the dead our justification is made sure. |
| But now a righteousness
from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the
Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God
comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace
through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God
presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in
his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because
in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand
unpunished-- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the
present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies
those who have faith in Jesus. Romans 3:21-26(NIV) |
| He (Jesus Christ) was delivered over to death for our sins
and was raised to life for our justification. Romans 4:25(NIV) |
| For You know that it was not with perishable things such as
silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of
life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the
precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
I Peter 1:18-19(NIV) |
| He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we
might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds
you have been healed. I Peter 2:24(NIV) |
| In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness
of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.
Ephesians 1:7(NIV) |
| Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In
his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and
into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or
fade--kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded
by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is
ready to be revealed in the last time. I Peter 1:3-5(NIV) |
| The Lord Jesus Christ is now
in heaven exalted at the right hand of God. There, as High
Priest for His people, He fulfills the ministries of
Representative, Intercessor and Advocate. |
| For Christ did not enter a
man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he
entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God's
presence. Hebrews 9:24(NIV) |
| Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to
God through him, because he always lives to intercede for
them. Hebrews 7:25(NIV) |
| Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than
that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God
and is also interceding for us. Romans 8:34(NIV) |
| My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not
sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the
Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He
is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours
but also for the sins of the whole world. I John 2:1-2(NIV) |
| I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened
in order that you may know the hope to which he has called
you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That
power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he
exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and
seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far
above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every
title that can be given, not only in the present age but
also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his
feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the
church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills
everything in every way. Ephesians 1:18-23(NIV) |
| The premillenial return of our
Lord Jesus Christ, first to receive His own unto Himself, and
then to set up the promised Messianic Kingdom. |
| Brothers, we do not want
you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve
like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that
Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will
bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who
are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord,
will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud
command, with the voice of the archangel and with the
trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise
first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will
be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the
Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Therefore encourage each other with these words. I
Thessalonians 4:13-18 |
| Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations,
as he fights in the day of battle. On that day his feet
will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and
the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west,
forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving
north and half moving south. You will flee by my mountain
valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you
fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of
Judah. Then the LORD my God
will come, and all the holy ones with him. |
| On that day there
will be no light, no cold or frost. It will be a unique
day, without daytime or nighttime--a day known to the
LORD. When evening comes, there will
be light. |
| On that day living water
will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and
half to the western sea, in summer and in winter. |
| The LORD will be king over
the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his
name the only name. |
| The whole land, from
Geba to Rimmon, south of Jerusalem, will become like the
Arabah. But Jerusalem will be raised up and remain in its
place, from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the First Gate,
to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the
royal winepresses. It will be inhabited; never again will it
be destroyed. Jerusalem will be secure. Zechariah
