AWANA always needs more volunteers who have a passion to share the Word of God with children. AWANA is a fast paced, fun way to get the kids into memorizing scripture. There are three different clubs within our AWANA program.
"Cubbies" is geared to children who are no more than two years from kindergarten, aged three or four. All cubbies must be completely toilet trained. The director's are Debbie Le and Jan Rodenbeck and they work with an outstanding team.
"Sparks" is for children aged kindergarten through second grade. Children are encouraged to work through their handbooks at their own pace.
All clubbers will earn a snappy red vest to wear to club. The evening encourages the clubbers to develop team spirit through games, memorizing Bible verses and other challenges.
"Truth and Training Club" is for children in grades three and four. We have a boys director, Ron Kretschmer, and the girls director, Dolores Skrivan. Both are strong leaders and do a great job encouraging the clubbers to get beyond scripture memorizing and into learning how to apply to daily living. Like the "Sparks", this is a fast paced program with team and individual challenges. All "Truth and Training" clubbers and leaders are identified by their green uniforms. AWANA is a great family program that the kids love and parents appreciate.
